At H2O Madness Adventures, technical diving education is our specialty. Our mission is to provide divers with the knowledge and skills to extend their exploration of the undersea environment.

We at H2O Madness Adventures believe that knowledge and understanding are the tools to empowerment in any endeavour. We provide our students with new opportunities to help them become safe and confident divers.

A message from Hamish Tweed, Founder/Coordinator & Head Instructor:

The courses I teach my students comes from the knowledge that I have gained from years of working with many excellent instructors and agencies. I have trained with IANTD, NACD, PADI, and TDI instructors; and from this broad spectrum I have taken the best ideas and principles and applied them to my programs. My technical diving teaching philosophy is based on three principles.

First, the training must be thorough. Students will leave my class possessing the skills and knowledge to complete a technical dive at a high-level of competency. No corners will be cut and the certification will be earned.

Second, the training environment should be relaxed, enjoyable and fun. At the technical level, students should be able to self-critique and discuss successes and shortcomings. My roll as an instructor is not as a drill sergeant, but more as a guide that will lead you through the training process.

Third, at the end of the course students should be self-sufficient and able to think for themselves. Beyond the training curriculum, each diver needs to understand the reasons why they are diving with a certain gear configuration or using a specific gas and not simply going through the motions because of course curriculum. Technical diving is dynamic and divers need to be able to change and adapt to their environment.
