Full Wreck Diver Program (Wreck Diver, Advanced Wreck Diver)
Program Content
The Full Wreck Diver Program focuses on safer wreck penetration. Our program provides the knowledge and experience divers need to conduct advanced wreck dives with confidence and with a higher level of safety.
The classroom portion of the program will take place over three academic sessions of approximately 4 hours each. Topics that will be covered in the classroom include the dangers of the overhead environment, buoyancy control, equipment configuration, equipment streamlining, awareness in an overhead environment, proper finning techniques and gas management for multi-stage penetrations.
The diving portion of the program will entail 12 dives over a number of days. The first set of dives consists of four confined-water skills work-up dives. These dives establish the students' buoyancy, trim, configuration and comfort of their equipment. This will lead to the students second set of dives. This session is aimed at helping to achieve proficiency in completing a number of timed task-loading skills. The students will also participate in a number of team-building exercises.
The remaining set and the bulk of the dives will take place on one or more of BC's artificial reefs. Thanks to the Artificial Reef Society of British Columbia, there are several large artificial reefs in relatively close proximity, allowing us to offer our students a wider range of experiences and challenges during our program.

Certification will only be issued if the student completes the program in the required time and to the satisfaction of the primary instructor.
