Founder & Divemaster: ALEINA TWEED

Aleina is H2O Madness Adventures' co-founder. She was born on the east coast in Halifax, but grew
up in the middle of the prairies in Regina, Saskatchewan. Despite the lack of water, she has always
had a passion for the ocean. She moved to Vancouver in 1992, and started diving in 1996. In 1999,
Aleina took her first steps into technical diving, and by 2001 had finished her Trimix Diver and
Technical Divemaster courses. Somewhere during those 2 years, she also found time to complete a
thesis and graduate from the University of British Columbia with a Masters degree in Epidemiology.
She has always had a special interest in marine biology, and over the years has become our in-house
naturalist. Her passion for diving and with her wide range of experiences over the past 10 years
makes Aleina a great dive buddy and leader. She is also responsible for our new website.
