Technical Divermaster Program


Program Content

The Technical Divemaster program is the first step towards becoming a dive professional. This course is for those who decide that they would like to expand their leadership skills, their diving knowledge, and their awareness of the underwater world.

This program will include auditing and eventually leading classroom sessions, confined water dives and open water dives. The internship portion will involve approximately 70 hours of leadership in the classroom and ocean under the guidance of your instructor.

Prerequisites

  • At least 21 years of age
  • Good physical condition
  • Completed medical questionnaire
  • Appropriate equipment
  • Technical Diver certification
  • Rescue Diver certification
  • First aid training
  • Logged proof of 100 dives, including:
    • 50 dives in twin tanks
    • 25 decompression dives with stage tanks
    • 25 dives in the last 12 months

Course Limits

  • Maximum depth during course dives 150 feet (45 metres)
  • No training dives will be in overhead environments (except decompression) unless divemaster candidate holds Advanced or Technical Wreck Diver certification
  • Decompression gases will range from 50% to 100% O2

Tuition
All fees are in Canadian dollars

  • Tuition fee: $600
  • Certification fees, manuals, dive gases, boat fees and other course expenses are extra and are subject to change

At H2O Madness our courses are designed to help students find the tools they need in order to expand their knowledge and meet their diving goals. When you take a course form us you are not paying for a certification, you are purchasing training. Certification will only be issued if the student completes the program in the required time and to the satisfaction of the primary instructor.
