DSAT Tec 40 Diver
Program Content
The Tec 40 course introduces divers to limited decompression diving within the 130 feet / 40 metre range. The program will introduce basic technical diving concepts and skills and lay the foundation for further technical diving training. Successful students will be qualified to complete a maximum of 10 minutes of non-accelerated decompression with the use of one decompression cylinder filled to a maximum of 50% O2.
Prerequisites
- Certified as an Advanced Open Water Diver
- Certified as a PADI Enriched Air Diver
- At least 10 dives to 30 metres / 100 feet
- At least 18 years of age
- Logged proof of 30 dives, including:
- 10 dives made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres / 60 feet
- Medical Statement signed by a physician
Course Limits
- Student to instructor ratio 4:1 during open water dives
- Maximum depth during course dives will be 30 metres / 100 feet
- No training dives will be at night
Tuition
All fees are in Canadian dollars
- Tuition fee: $600
- Certification fees, manuals, dive gases, boat fees and other course expenses are extra and are subject to change

Certification will only be issued if the student completes the program in the required time and to the satisfaction of the primary instructor.
