DSAT Tec 45 Diver


Program Content

The Tec 45 course will further develop skills learned in the Tec 40 stage of training to extend divers' abilities. Successful students will be qualified to complete accelerated decompression dives using one decompression cylinder with enriched air or O2 to a maximum depth of 150 feet / 45 metres (discussions about depth related narcosis and CO2 will be addressed in the course).

Prerequisites

  • Certified as a Tec 40 Diver*
  • Certified as a PADI Rescue Diver*
  • Proof of training in CPR and First Aid within the previous two years
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Good physical condition
  • Completed medical questionnaire
  • Appropriate equipment
  • Logged proof of 50 dives, including:
    • 12 dives made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres / 60 feet
    • 6 dives (with or without EANx) deeper than 30 metres / 100 feet

* Or provide qualifying certification from another training organization

Course Limits

  • Student to instructor ratio 4:1 during open water dives
  • Maximum depth during course dives will be 40 metres / 130 feet
  • No training dives will be at night

Tuition
All fees are in Canadian dollars

  • Tuition fee: $600
  • Certification fees, manuals, dive gases, boat fees and other course expenses are extra and are subject to change

When you take a course form us you are not paying for a certification, you are purchasing training. Certification will only be issued if the student completes the program in the required time and to the satisfaction of the primary instructor.
