DSAT Tec 50 Diver
Program Content
The Tec 50 course will further develop skills learned in the Tec 45 stage of training to extend divers' abilities. The program will focus on expended decompression planning and the use of 2 stage/deco bottles. Successful students will be able to plan dives utilizing one stage and one or two deco bottles.
Prerequisites
- Certified as a Tec 45 Diver*
- Certified as a PADI Rescue Diver*
- Proof of training in CPR and First Aid within the previous two years
- At least 18 years of age
- Good physical condition
- Completed medical questionnaire
- Appropriate equipment
- Logged proof of 100 dives, including:
- 20 dives made with enriched air nitrox deeper than 18 metres / 60 feet
- 15 dives (with or without EANx) deeper than 30 metres / 100 feet
* Or provide qualifying certification from another training organization
Course Limits
- Student to instructor ratio 4:1 during open water dives
- Maximum depth during course dives will be 50 metres / 165 feet
- No training dives will be at night
- Decompression gases will range from 50% to 100% O2
Tuition
All fees are in Canadian dollars
- Tuition fee: $600
- Certification fees, manuals, dive gases, boat fees and other course expenses are extra and are subject to change

When you take a course form us you are not paying for a certification, you are purchasing training. Certification will only be issued if the student completes the program in the required time and to the satisfaction of the primary instructor.
